The Incredibles 2 And The Surprises it brings After 14 Years!

Yes! It has been 14 long years and at last, the Incredible family has returned to give us real fun and most probably a more chaotic look into their super family life! Let’s see to that.

Let’s go directly to the story line and see what we can expect from this super family that we’ve missed so much!
Few teasers and trailers have been released previously but this new trailer has shown us the plot (or as much as we have gathered so far). This sequel picks up a few moments after the events of the first movie. So, many people are trying to make Supers legal again, including a company lead by Deavors. To help them out, they recruited Elastigirl to be a spokesperson. And that leaves Mr. Incredible to take care of the family! Let’s not forget that daddy Incredible has to look after Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack – the baby who everyone is now realizing has umpteen superpowers. And so a new villain comes in making the family and Frozone to find a way to work together again which is actually more difficult now than it seems, despite their being Incredible! Oh, and Edna Mode offers Mr. Incredible some wisdom: “parenting is heroic act, done properly”.

So we have a new antagonist this time, the Screen Slaver. But we’re not so sure about the other villains who this time as they are a bit shady about it, but casting Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) and Catherine Keener (Get Out) to voice the ultra-rich couple, seems a hint that at least one of them is the villain, or at least, attached to the villain in some way. Isabella Rosselini (Blue Velvet) also can play quite menacing. Here’s another clue, Jonathan Banks (Better Call Saul) is now playing the role of Rick Dicker, head of the Super Relocation Program. Rick Dicker’s character was voiced by Bud Luckery in the last film. This is really something we are so excited to know about!
We can clearly remember that that the original movie had more action violence compared to most animated kids’ movies, but everything was still cartoonish. And it was beautifully animated, amusing take on superhero movies! Well, we can probably expect a lot of the same here in the sequel, and probably too intense for young ones or more sensitive kids, but will surely be a go-to family movie in the summer!

And here’s Brad Bird’s say on why it took 14 years to come up with a sequel. During a recent press event, he told reports this, “the thing is, may sequels are cash grabs. There’s a saying in business that I can’t stand, where they go, ‘if you don’t make another one, you’re leaving money on the table’. It’s like, money on the table is not what makes me get up in the morning; making something that people are gonna enjoy a hundred years from now, that’s what gets me up. So if it were a cash grab, we would not have taken fourteen years – it makes no financial sense to wait this long – it’s purely we had a story we wanted to tell.”
Those words though. Can’t wait to watch it now?
The Incredibles 2 is scheduled to release on June 15th.
